Michael O. Nolan, Jr.

Managing Partner

Mike joined Love, Barnes & McKew in 1977 as a multi-line field adjuster after attending Spring Hill College in Mobile, Al.  He was appointed as the Branch Manager of the Baltimore, MD office in 1983.  He has extensive experience in  handling and supervising general liability and auto liability claims.  He served as Vice President of Marketing from 1990 to 2010.  He was an active member of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, serving as the Eastern Regional VP from 2006-2008.  Mike became a co-owner of Love, Barnes & Mckew in 2012.

Michael R. Hall, AIC

Managing Partner

Mike joined LBM in September 1980 as a field adjuster.  He was a long time member of the Washington Claims Association before becoming President in 1989.  He earned his AIC designation in 1990.  He became Manager for the Washington DC area.  He currentlly supervises adjusters handling casualty, commercial liability, trucking transportation, Errors and Omissions, and workers’ compensation claims.  Mike is licensed in Delaware. He is the coordinator for the “Emergency Response Team” for commercial carriers, TPA’s, and defense attorneys.  Mike became a co-owner of LBM in 2012.

Paul C. Plitt, AIC

Managing Partner

Paul graduated from Catonsville Sr. High School in 1975 and the University of Baltimore in 1980 with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration.  He joined Love, Barnes & McKew in 1982.  He successfully completed the IIA program and received his AIC designation.  Paul manages our property claims adjusters and handles both commercial and homeowners claims.  He has attended several mold seminars.  Paul supervises casualty investigations.  He is also licensed in Delaware.  Paul became a co-owner of LBM in 2012.

Linda C. Campbell

Administrative Manager

Linda is the administrative manager for LBM.  She supervises the Administration staff, as well as handles Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, IT/Security and oversees daily procedures.

Linda also serves as Company Secretary.  She became a co-owner of LBM in 2012.

Bryan Creighton, AIC

Vice President – Property Claims

Bryan has a Bachelor of Science degree from Frostburg State University and an Associate in Claims degree. He joined Love, Barnes & McKew in 1996. He completed the property course at the National Forum for Property Loss Professionals in Princeton, NJ. Bryan specializes in the adjustment of large loss commercial and residential claims. He is also licensed in Delaware. Bryan has been retained by defense attorneys to review files, prepare estimates, evaluate personal and business property claims, and assist defense counsel in preparation for trial. Bryan became a co-owner of LBM in 2017.

John Gosnell

Truck and Heavy Equipment Appraiser

John began his insurance carrier as an adjuster, but quickly realized his real interests were in automobile appraising.  Once he became proficient in appraising automobiles and light trucks, he wanted to further his appraisal career by attending Vale National Training Center in Arlington, TX.  There he learned to appraise heavy equipment and over-the-road trucks.  In addition, he has completed I-Car Collision Repair 2000 and Auto Refinishing courses.  He has been appraising automobiles/light trucks since 1995, and heavy equipment, tractors, trailers, and boats since 1997.

Chad Burggraff

Senior Casualty Adjuster

Chad has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Justice Studies.  He has been with LBM since 2000.  Chad handles commercial lines casualty, professional liability, inland marine, cargo, and construction defect claims.

Chad is licensed in Delaware.  He handles claims in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and Delaware.

Ryan Monahan

Senior Casualty Adjuster

Ryan has been with LBM since 2008.  Ryan handles casualty, trucking transportation, liability and Errors and Omissions claims.

Ryan is currently handling claims in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia.

Calvin Page

Senior Property Adjuster

Calvin has been with Love, Barnes & McKew since 2009.  He handles homeowners, commercial property, and third-party property losses.  Calvin attended Ancilla College in South Bend, Indiana and Sienna Heights University in Adrian, Michigan.

Calvin is currently handling claims in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia.

Ilana Kitchen

Billing Manager

Ilana manages the set up and invoicing of claim files.  She ensures our files are set up and billed according to our clients’ guidelines.

Ilana is responsible for taking new assignments, assigning claims, and disbursing them to the appropriate property or casualty adjuster.
